Printer or Scanner Issues

If your printer or scanner is not working properly, or if a print job is stuck in the queue, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.


Print Job Stuck

1. Open the Print Queue

  • Go to your printer’s Control Panel and select Print Queue.

2. Delete the Print Job(s)

  • Select the print job you want to delete and press Delete.

  • Repeat this step for each print job that needs to be cleared.

3. Try Printing Again

  • Once all pending print jobs have been deleted, send a new print job to verify the issue is resolved.

 

Printer/Scanner Not Working

1. Perform a Power Cycle

  • Turn the printer or scanner off, unplug it from the outlet for at least 15 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Check Cable Connections

  • Ensure all cables are securely connected, especially the Ethernet cord.

  • Make sure it is fully seated in both the device and wall port.

3. Test the Device

  • After reconnecting and powering back on, try printing or scanning again.

Paper and Cartridge Checks

1. Check Paper and Cartridges Regularly

  • Ensure paper is properly aligned and that the tray is full.

  • Confirm ink or toner cartridges have sufficient levels.
